Indian culture is so vast that it cannot be defined in few words. There is so much rich history, heritage and traditions that it would probably take years to explore each of these, including the food. Every 20 km you will find new ingredients and traditional dishes that are prepared differently in every household. Every region offers you a new taste, and you can go on about the food as well. So, it is always a pleasure to watch when someone from outside our culture tries our delicious Indian food! We are always curious about how they would like the taste and texture of food or what their reaction would be! Recently, an elderly foreign couple tried some of our native Indian sweets and namkeens, and their reaction is so sweet it can’t be missed.

In a video uploaded by Instagram user @invisbleindia, we can see their 90-year-old grandparents having namkeen and laddoos for the first time. He has two boxes full on a table. In the video, Grandfather takes some namkeen, which he finds pungent in taste. At the same time, his grandmother can be seen eating some laddus. “This is really cute,” she says, and breaks into an adorable laugh. Watch the full video of his reaction here:
Ever since the video was shared on social media, it has garnered 202K views, 7K likes and tons of comments! One user wrote, ‘How lovely is Grandpa’s reaction after eating spicy food. Another person said, “They are such a good game! God bless you all!” Someone even added, “So cute. Please bring him to India once.”
Several Indian users have also commented about different foods that their grandparents could try. One person said, “Ask them to eat some light sweets like gajar ka halwa or kheer. They can also try poha and samosas.” Another user said, “I think they should enjoy the taste of dhokla once.”
Someone even added, “Oh if they can try traditional dishes like dal baati, makki ki roti, sarso ka saag and many more!”
