Organized by the Ministry of External Affairs in collaboration with the Observer Research Foundation, the seventh edition of the conference will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, will attend the inaugural session of the three-day conference as the chief guest.
Participants will include former Swedish PM Karl Bildt, former Canadian PM Stephen Harper, former Maldives President Mohamed Nasheed and former Australian PM Anthony Abbott. UN General Assembly President Abdullah Shahid will deliver a pre-recorded speech. Officials said foreign ministers of Argentina, Armenia, Australia (online) Guyana, Nigeria, Norway, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Madagascar, Netherlands, Philippines, Poland, Portugal and Slovenia will also participate in the event.
The conference will have over 100 sessions with over 210 speakers from over 90 countries and multilateral organizations.
